High Performance Products Database

CHPS is proud to offer a searchable high performance building product database, in partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and California's Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle). Our goal is to make available products that help schools meet CHPS and other green building criteria, and deliver environmental and health benefits to their occupants. The database expands on the success of the CHPS low-emitting materials list to include other attributes, such as recycled content, rapidly renewable material content, organically grown material content, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Certified wood products, and life cycle and multiple attribute claims.

Using Approved Products in CHPS Projects

While the database lists a variety of products, not all are available for credit in CHPS projects. The Criteria serve as the best guide for what is acceptable, but also make sure you review the low-emitting materials self-certification page for more information on what is approved for low-emitting materials prerequisites and credits, as well as the CHPS Criteria Interpretation Library for any updates on other materials.
