The California Division of the State Architect (DSA) will be holding outreach events in February and March.
The DSA 20/20: Focus on the Future will address improving efficiency with DSA plan review and provide opportunities to discuss the state’s entire school construction process, future trends, and methods of school construction. With rapidly escalating construction costs, it is imperative we make the school construction process as efficient as possible. These events provide a forum to discuss and exchange information and ideas that will improve project delivery.
Information from the various sessions will be very beneficial for all levels of stakeholders ranging from school district executives and design firm principals to working level construction and administrative staff.
Event highlights include:
- A look at the future – what is the long–range vision of school construction through the eyes of the construction industry, design professionals, school districts, and state representatives?
- A partnership with the California Office of Public School Construction and the California Department of Education to provide information on the key phases of school construction requiring interaction with the state. The three agencies will provide valuable advice on how to successfully negotiate the requisite application and review processes and how to best obtain the necessary approvals.
- Discussions regarding recent DSA process changes and exciting initiatives planned for the future.
- Lunchtime round table discussions with fellow participants and present entities where you can ask questions provide feedback and share your needs.
