Communications & Membership Director
Lisa Dunnebacke brings to the CHPS team more than 25 years of professional experience in community outreach communications and technical writing. She has worked with a wide variety of organizations, including the Federal Government, U.S. Congress, and State of Michigan as well as several universities, nonprofit organizations, and corporations. She specializes in writing technical papers in Engineering, Law, and Accounting/Finance. Her most recently published article appears in the 2017 Transportation Research Record, the journal of the Transportation Research Board (TRB), in the subject area of alternative fuels development. Prior to joining CHPS, Lisa was a Communications Specialist for the Big Data to Knowledge Initiative (BD2K) at the National Institutes of Health, which focused on supporting big data and data science applications in biomedical research and building a global biomedical data science consortium. She has also served as a Board member with a three-county regional Chamber of Commerce and enjoys mentoring small businesses and entrepreneurs on how to apply online and social media resources to branding and sales activities. She holds a B.A. in International Relations, with a minor in Economics, from the James Madison Honors College of Public Affairs and Public Policy at Michigan State University and a M.S. in Rhetoric and Technical Communications from Michigan Technological University.
