The Greenleaf TK-8 School in the Oakland Unified School District scored 115 points under our CA-CHPS Verified program.

The project, designed/built by Gelfand Partners Architects and Cahill Contractors, converted an existing elementary school into a TK-8 school. The high performance  environment was built to accomodate growth and enhance healthy learning with flexible classrooms, indoor-outdoor connectivity and sustainable materials.

Emphasis was also placed on daylighting, natural ventilation and energy/water conservation. EMS-controlled high-efficiency boiler units and fan coli units as well as daylight harvesting lighting are some of the key technical features.
