Transforming our schools must be a collaborative endeavor.

Scaling better schools for better students requires better, bolder collaboration among anyone involved in improving the lives of students through the lens of school buildings and facilities.

CHPS works with diverse experts across a variety of disciplines and perspectives like school districts, building designers and architects, utilities, state agencies, and think tanks or NGOs with expertise in building science, education, student health, and safety.

As a collaborative, we work to oversee and implement existing programs, shape future initiatives, and most importantly align the industry around the urgent need to do more.

“Working together is crucial when you are solving a problem as big and complex as school performance in school districts around the country — each of which has different facility types, internal resources, and community priorities. The diverse capabilities and perspectives that CHPS has and continues to bring together is one of the organization's biggest strengths. Collaboration is part of their name for an important reason.”

Ways we work together

Partners

CHPS partners with organizations that complement our mission and add value for our school districts, members, and design teams through new or improved products or services, increased resources, and education.

CHPS Members

CHPS has two main types of members: school districts who are looking to improve their schools by participating in CHPS programs, and solutions/service providers who lend their expertise and resources to school projects. All members work together to develop new opportunities to further advance our collective vision.

Leadership Circle

Leaders across a variety of disciplines dedicated to co-creating solutions that will underpin future visionary programs that have the potential to redefine how we successfully deliver high performance schools at scale (more information coming soon).

National Technical Committee

A select group of CHPS members responsible for establishing and maintaining rigorous high performance national standards and best practice resources, developing, and updating CHPS criteria, and answering credit interpretations in support of ongoing projects.
