Join us at annual CASH Conference

It's no secret that building healthy, high performance learning environments for our students is critical. We also know that the dollars spent in that pursuit must be used wisely.

But it isn't always easy to reconcile educational benefits with financial costs. So how do we do it? CHPS Executive Director Craig Schiller will be part of a presentation that will help answer that question.

The 45th Annual Conference on School Facilities will be hosted by California's Coalition for Adequate School Housing (CASH) Feb. 28-March 1 in Sacramento. The presentation is entitled 'Building Excellence: The Blueprint for High Performance Buildings and the Financial Advantage.'

Scheduled for Thursday from 11am-12:15 PT, the session will be moderated by Mary Ruppenthal of HED Architects (a CHPS member). In addition to Schiller, the panel will also include CHPS board member Christos Chrysiliou (director of Architectural and Engineering Services at LAUSD) and Ida Clair (California’s Division of the State Architect). 

The goal is to help participants learn how to define high performance school buildings, recognize the economic benefits and maximize communities' return on investment.
