QKA signs on as Minor Renovations Visionary sponsor

The Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) is excited to announce that Quattrocchi Kwok Architects (QKA) has signed on to bring its many years of experience fostering healthy, inclusive and equitable school design to CHPS’ new Minor Renovations Program as a Visionary-level sponsor.

“QKA is excited to support CHPS with the development of the Minor Renovations program,” said QKA Principal/President Aaron Jobson, a longtime CHPS board member. “We think this is an excellent opportunity to take the evidence based design standards that CHPS has developed and make them accessible to help more schools create facilities that better support student wellness and success.”

The program was launched in August alongside the Los Angeles Unified School District and Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, who have committed to participate in the program’s development, and with CHPS’ government partner Sourcewell.

“QKA has been a great collaborator with, and advocate of CHPS as a method to standardize better learning environments,” said CHPS Executive Director Craig Schiller. “Our mutual  commitment to  nationally scale healthy learning and address a critical area of need makes QKA a perfect match to take on a leadership role in the development of this new program.” 

The Minor Renovations Program will offer a new way for school districts to address their most pressing facility improvement needs by helping them apply best practices that improve building performance, cut energy costs, and promote student health, wellness, and achievement.
